In this class we will work on one block a month using triangle papers and the folded corner clipper,? Together we will tackle using the papers so that you will have?perfect points and perfect blocks on all your stars,? ?Then after all? the blocks are finished we will put them together and add an amazing border.?? This class will run for 8 months. In class we will work on 1 star a month and you will have to do some piecing?at home to get all the blocks done.??Book will be required and fabric requirements?are in the book.? It shows you the quilt in 2 different?colorways, but any colorway will be beautiful.

These classes are not a demonstration and are intended for those that really would like help by the instructor (Lauren) in working with the rulers to piece your blocks. Join Ann to make this wildly popular rug that looks wonderful in any fabric. It is made up of one ?jelly roll? (one 2 1/2? roll of 42 strips). We also carry the pre-cut Bosal batting on a roll that makes this project much easier (it takes two of these). Of course you can cut your own batting strips if you would like. Ann supplies the tips and tricks to get your rug done in class with some pre-prep prior to class.

Some of you have taken ?Metro Hoops? and ?Metro Rings? classes and might be looking for something a little bit different. ?Metro Lattice? is the Metro Rings pattern, however, the rings are not pieced!! Yes, they are one solid color and this means they are easier to do. You can either piece the inner color (as in the patter) or make it with one solid color (as I have done). If using one solid color it is simple if you start with a layer cake (a pack of 10? squares.

This is a contemporary double wedding ring pattern. This quilt starts with strip sets that are straight pieced which makes the entire process quicker and easier than traditional double wedding ring patterns which use templates. It then uses the Quick Curve Ruler to cut the curves. The great next step is that the curves are pieced with no clips or pins, thats right!! It is helpful to also purchase their 10-in square up ruler to assist with the purchase specially designed for the metro rings projects. Cotton & Chocolate carries both rulers. Marilyn will be teaching both the regular-sized quilt and the mini quilt. Note: you must purchase the mini ruler is making that size. We do have yellow/grey kits available!!! Catherine is ready to help you whether you are a beginner or a regular. In this session Catherine if featuring the Coral Reef quilt pattern (shown) covering six sessions. She has additional pattern and project suggestions and can also help you select fabrics for your quilt using her design software custom for Judy Niemeyer patterns! See it before you make it!

This pattern looks much harder than it is and I will show you how to make it using the loc bloc ruler. By the time you finish these blocks you will have mastered the tool, plus you will have a beautiful quilt to show for it!.
