Join in the fun of this club for all those fans of Starch-turned applique (the P3 Designs Pearl Pereira method). Marilyn will be leading the club for all levels - from those just starting to quilters that want to brush up on existing skills. From drawing, hand cutting the shapes, using the Cameo to cut, fabric turning methods and stitching, we will continually review it all as we work through the blocks of this quilt.

Okay, so I'm hooked. I had so much fun making these strip sets. The surprise comes after you cut your triangles and then open them up to see the combination of fabrics. Each one is different. You use 2-1/2 inch strips. They can be from a Bali Pop, a Jelly Roll, or from your own collection of fabrics. I've made this many times, but this one is from a Red, White and Blue collection. I can't wait to see what you choose.

Beginning on Saturday, January 7, 2023 we will be joining in Jaybird Quilts Temperature Quilt Sew-along. Register on the website: www.jaybirdquilts.com, and join in the fun! Once you register Julie Herman will be giving you the pattern, fabric requirements, charts to fill in, ranges of temperatures with the fabric to use for each range, etc. She is showing 4 sizes for the quilt, so pick what will work best for you. Basically, you pick a city and find the high & low temperature for everyday of the year corresponding to that city. You can pick any city and any year, maybe you want to make it for a child/grandchild and pick the city where they were born. Once you have that, the construction is easy and Vicki will help you along the way.

You will baste your fabric using the glue-stick method to the papers and then stitch the pieces by machine and have your flower made in no time. A review of appliqueing flowers to background blocks will also be provided.

This pattern uses Star 60, Capped 60, and Quad 60 units, along with Large Companion Triangles to create a unique table topper or tree skirt in three different sizes. The fabric selection can be traditional Christmas colors, fun winter themed fabrics, or just something that coordinates with your decor.

Sunny Rays is another great pattern from the "Sew Kind of Wonderful" gang that uses the Quick Curve Ruler and also the WonderCurve Ruler (Marilyn can show you have to make the mini-Quick curve ruler work as a substitute for the WonderCurve also). This is fun pattern with curves that use no pinning or clipping! Come have fun with Marilyn and learn and new technique. Quilt finishes at 70"x70" for this design. In the Petite Piping Thread Catcher, I will show you how to insert petite piping using 3 different methods, and explain why and where you should use each method! We are going to work on this wonderful quilt as a group though this year. We are here to help take some of the anxiety of cutting all these different blocks and putting them together.? You will have two instructors to work with.? Lauren will show you how to do most of these blocks using the Deb Tucker Rulers and Susan will be following the traditional method used in the book.? You can use scraps from your stash to create this project or go with a theme using a tower you might have that you weren't sure what to do with.?
