Okay, so I'm hooked. I had so much fun making these strip sets. The surprise comes after you cut your triangles and then open them up to see the combination of fabrics. Each one is different. You use 2 inch strips. They can be from a Bali Pop, a Jelly Roll, or from your own collection of fabrics. I've made this many times, but this one is from a Red, White and Blue collection. This is another beautiful quilt designed by Tilda Fabrics and is made in the new fabric line, ?Hometown?. This beautiful quilt is really an attention-getter and quite a treasure that you will not only enjoy making but will be thrilled with the result. Of course, this type of quilt takes time to make which is why Marilyn has chosen the club format so that you can not only select your applique method for the quilt but also your applique speed!! It should be fun, relaxing and you will get the results that you will love. The design is made up of two different applique blocks, a large flower and a small flower (with a cute little house atop every one), each in three different colorways. You can use any applique method that you desire, with the sample showing raw-edged fused applique. Marilyn is also happy to demo starch- turned applique in class. The motifs are sewn to a Solid peacock-colored background in the sample. A narrow border frames the whole design. The free pattern is available from tildasworld.com. Cotton and Chocolate will have a limited number of kits available made from the HomeTown fabric selection. Call to reserve yours! Students must provide their own copy of printed pattern.
